Cruise Overview

Le Cochinchine is a modern and tastefully designed river barge. Built in traditional style Le Cochinchine measures around 30 meters long from bow to stern and has two 420 HP engines.

Brief Boat Specifications

Long of 33 m and wide of 7m00 , the Vietnamese essence traditionnally used for quality ships and now a rare deed and is powered by an isuzu (450 HP) engines and 1 generator ISUZU 55KVA (220V-50HZ). It accommodates 28 passengers in 12 cabins (08 twin,2 dbl and 2 family cabines (1 dbl bed & 2 sgl bed/each) with a.c and private bathroom with hot water.1 living-room (6m*3m), 2 restaurant and 2 bar 7m*6m,a wide upper deck for contemplate sunset with an aperitif.

Itineraries

3 Days Package

Day 1: Can Tho - Tra On - Cho Lach ( Lunch, Dinner )
12.00-12h30 Late morning you reach the banks of the Mekong Delta in Can Tho City. You embark onboard Le Cochinchine around noon and enjoy a welcome drink. Lunch served on board. The river barge continues towards Tra On. Embark on a pleasant walk or cycle on the footpaths of the countryside to discover tropical fruit orchards and local daily activities. It gives you a good opportunity to meet with local people. Boarding back at dusk, enjoy a pre-dinner drink together with a magnificent sunset on Mang Thit River. Enjoy the foot massage on board.
Dinner and night on board off Cholach.

Day 2: Cho Lach - Sa Dec (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Breakfast on board. We take a walk in Cholach across orchards and gardens amongst the lush vegetation. Opportunity to have pleasant encounter with local people. Our boat continue our scenic cruise to Sa Dec browsing Vinhlong and Mythuan Lunch taken on board as the river barge sails towards Sa Dec. Visit brick factories on the banks of Sa Dec surroundings.
In Sa Dec, we walk/ cycle to see Cao Dai Temple and local market, the school founded in the early Twentieth century by the mother of French writer Marguerite Duras and a stunning chinese pagoda and lovely bonsais and flower gardens
Dinner and night on board.

Day 3: Cai Be Departure (Breakfast)
Breakfast on board.
Our boat set sails again and cruises along the Mekong while taking in orchards and gardens torward Cai Be. Explore Cai Be floating market on a local boat then visit local coconut and rice sweet factories, colonial houses and fruit gardens. Sample local sweets and fruits during the trip.
The local boat sails through tiny canals and arroyos before bringing you back to the shore. Get off in Cai Be harbour around 11.00 AM. The cruise concludes.

2 Days Package

Day 1: Caibe – Mang Thit - Tra On (Lunch, Dinner)
11h30 -12h.00: late morning, you reach the banks of the Mekong Delta in Cai Be. Transfer to a our sampan for an extensive visit of Cai Be and its surroundings : colonial houses, fruit gardens, local coconut and rice sweet factories. Sample local sweets and fruits during the trip. You embark onboard Le Cochinchine and enjoy a welcome drink.
Lunch is served on board as the barge sails down Co Chien River then procedes onto Mang Thit River. Embark on a pleasant walk or cycle on the footpaths of the countryside to discover tropical fruit orchards and local people's daily activities. Leisurely cruise on the Mekong River while taking in the beautiful scenery. Enjoy a pre-dinner drink over the sunset.

Day 2: Tra On – Can Tho (Breakfast)

The morning bobbling commotion of Mekong river life comes to life for another lovely day our boat set sails to Cantho through tributaries, canals and arroyos. Transfer to Cairang, one of the most bustling floating markets in the whole Mekong Delta. The local boat slides on tiny waterways between palm-shaded banks for you to see green orchards, local houses, ship building yards, rural and river activites in full swing.
11h00: Disembark in Cantho. The cruise concludes.
